Reisa Adato
Reisa Adato
In this tumultuous time of great divide, Reisa’s songs unites a distinct and uncommon thread of musical worlds. Americana meets hip hop, pop, with a country flair, and a bit of world beat in between.

Playing guitar since the age of 9, and songwriting since her teens, her lyrics challenge us to find the joyful from the sad. Growing up in New York City, there was much to write about, and with her wanderlust for travel, that influenced an even wider range of people, places and experiences for lyrical exploration.

By special invitation, she studied songwriting for several years with Rosanne Cash, in Upstate, New York, which was a great honor and certainly a highlight in Reisa's musical career.

Often referred to as the “little lady with the big voice", her high energy performances have warmed the hearts of audiences from coast to coast.

Reisa lives with her family in New York's beautiful Hudson Valley.
She celebrates the release of her new CD “Shine” at the Colony in Woodstock, NY.

The album “Shine” was produced and engineered by Julie Last at Coldbrook Productions in Bearsville, NY. Julie, a veteran to the music business, has recorded artists such as Rickie Lee Jones, Joni Mitchell, and Shawn Colvin, to name a few. She was also specially invited to assist in the recording of John Lennon and
Yoko Ono’s Double Fantasy.

In its first week of release, “Shine” hit #26 on the Hot New Release chart and #54 on the Best Sellers in the
Digital Rock category on Amazon.

Reisa’s performance at the Colony will feature Gabriel Gordon (guitar), Neil Alexander (keyboards), Kyle Esposito (bass), Eric Parker (drums), Carlos Valdez (percussion), Rob Stein (pedal steel), Voce (background vocalists), and a special appearance by Amadou Diallo (African drummer).

A portion of tonight’s proceeds will be donated to the United Way of Ulster County.

Reisa is a lyrical painter. Her music...sensitive, honest, fearless and fiercely powerful.
